Darcy joins the GLCOF Board after five years of volunteering for the organization by helping manage social media, crafting messaging and graphics. She looks forward to further telling the Fury’s story and communicating about the program’s successes.
She is married to Dan. They have two daughters who play for the Fury. Kate, a midfielder, is in 12th grade and Abby, a goalie, is in 10th grade. Both girls have played since the 2nd grade.
Darcy’s professional background ranges from broadcast journalism to municipal and crisis communication and economic development marketing. The Lone Star Emmy award-winning producer worked at ABC Dallas affiliate, WFAA, for seven years before making the move to the City of Frisco, where she is currently the assistant director of the Communications and Media Relations Department.
Darcy is a cum laude graduate of the University of Texas at the Permian Basin and has continued her professional education through the Graduate Marketing Certificate Program at SMU’s Cox School of Business and the Certified Public Communicator program through the Schieffer School of Strategic Communication at Texas Christian University.
When not cheering on her girls and their lacrosse teammates, Darcy enjoys singing with the St Francis of Assisi choir and reading.
